Do I have to use headphones when using C-Pen pen scanners?

If headphones aren't for you as a result of sensory or comfort reasons, each pen also has an inbuilt speaker with adjustable volume control.

Its also handy for group work.

There are some scenarios where the speaker function may not be appropriate for use though, i.e. using C-Pen Exam Reader 2 in an exam hall with other learners.
