C-Pen Reader 3 and C-Pen Lingo 3 1.0.03 updates

How-to update

  1. Power on your C-Pen Reader 3 or C-Pen Lingo 3

  2. Make sure it is connected to Wi-Fi.

  3. Either hold for a minute, or go to Settings\System Settings\Software Upgrade and select to search for latest update.

  4. When prompted, select Yes to trigger update.

  5. Wait for download and update to complete.

  6. Once the pen has rebooted, you’re good to go.

  7. Enjoy!

OCR & Font Support

Translation Controls in Lock Mode

  • Clear separation between Word Translation and Full Text Translation while in Lock Mode for better control.

Exam Mode Improvements

  • Text-to-Speech will not read Roman numerals (1–39) in Exam Mode, supporting stricter exam conditions.

Connectivity

  • Added WPA2 Enterprise WiFi support to connect securely to enterprise networks.

“Reset to default” in System Settings or ‘Forget network’ in Wi-Fi list is required to remove authentication credentials

Can not or do not want to use over-the-air update?

  • Unzip

  • Connect R3/L3 as U-disk

  • Copy the two .BIN files to the pen root folder

  • Disconnect pen from WiFi

  • Manually run the update (Settings/System Settings/Software update).
